Check out the Three Best Bowling Figures in Caribbean Premier League History

Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has gained tremendous popularity amongst cricket fans since its inception, and the eighth season CPL 2021 schedule is set to commence on the 18th of August 2021. All six teams are currently training hard in their camps to compete in the tournament.

If you are searching for the best bowler in CPL T20, the top performers who have bowled exceedingly well in the previous tournaments are from the three teams Guyana Amazon Warriors, Trinbago Knight Riders, and Barbados Tridents.

Listed Below are the Three Best Bowling Figures in CPL History:

It is quite a coincidence that all three best bowling figures in the history of the CPL were at the same venue, the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib Al Hasan turned out to be one of the best CPL bowlers in the Caribbean Premier League in 2013. He took six wickets by conceding only six runs while playing for the Barbados Tridents against the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel. No one has been able to surpass these figures in the six editions of the Caribbean Premier League that followed.

The Bangladesh spinner wreaked havoc after the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel elected to bat. After joining the attack in the fifth over, Shakib took the wickets of Dwayne Bravo, Kevin O'Brien, Ross Taylor, Kevon Cooper, Nicholas Pooran, and Samuel Badree in his four-over bowling spell. The Red Steel were bowled out for only 52 runs, and the left-arm spinner was rightfully awarded the Man of the Match.

Sohail Tanvir

Sohail Tanvir holds a stellar record of having registered the second-best bowling figures in the Caribbean Premier League. His haul of five wickets for three runs was quite impressive in the 2017 edition of the CPL, where he represented Guyana Amazon Warriors team.

In a game against the Barbados Tridents, Sohail Tanvir picked up the crucial wickets of middle-order batters Dwayne Smith, Kieron Pollard, Kane Williamson, Eoin Morgan, and Wahab Riaz. In his 24 ball spell, he bowled 22 balls with an unbelievable economy rate of 0.75 and was adjudged the Man of the Match for this magnificent performance.

Hayden Walsh Jr

Barbados' Tridents leg spinner Hayden Walsh Jr has registered the third-best bowling figures in the Caribbean Premier League. In the 23rd match of CPL 2019, Hayden demolished the middle order of Trinbago Knight Riders by taking five wickets for 19 runs in his four overs.

He picked up the wickets of Darren Bravo, Denesh Ramdin, Kieron Pollard, James Neesham, and Seekkuge Prasanna within six overs. The Trinbago Knight Riders were bowled out for just 129 in 17.4 overs, resulting in a 63-run win for the Tridents.
